The goal of all medical transcription training is obvious. Success is measured simply. The goal is a work-from-home job. Every graduate’s trust disappears and anger sets in when this goal is not achieved. The failure or success of every graduate is a statement on whether a school is good or not.

After having spent nearly 30 years working in hospital pharmacy both as a technician and then a pharmacist, I decided I was ready for a change of pace. My husband retired at age 50 and was ready to have me home full time. We also have a grandson who is 2-1/2 years old that we care for while his parents are at work. I sought out several work-at-home web sites and then got to thinking maybe I could still use my pharmacy education and experience if I chose something in medicine. I considered going into medical transcription training after seeing a job ad looking for medical transcriptionists who had completed a training program with an internship, and the ad included Med W… as one of the two schools they would consider hiring graduates from. I had thought about a work-from-home career in the past, but was unsure how to get started, what to do to get into one, and how successful it would be.
